Half Term Reading

Have you made a list of the books you want to read this half term?
If not then this is what you need to do:
  • Pop into the FLC and have a look at the new books that have arrived.
  • Plan a trip to your local library.  Central Library in Croydon is open all week and has lots of fantastic books to borrow.
  • Talk to your friends and see what they have read.  Maybe they will be able to suggest something new.
Make sure you let me know after half term any fantastic books that you have found and read.
Enjoy and have a great week off

Summer Reading and Book Review Competition

Why not check out your local library for great new books to read over the summer.  The librarians will always be able to help with recommendations.
Most libraries will be running events aimed at children and teenagers.  Have a look at these links for more information.

Croydon Libraries               Sutton Libraries

The love reading 4 kids website has lists of recommended books to read over the summer.  There is also lots of information about other books with a Special Features section and a Top 10 section.
You should then be able to borrow most of these books at your local library or buy them at your local book shop.

Have you enjoyed the book you've read?
Would you recommend it to others?

If so then please write a book review.
It can take any format but must include the following:

  • Book title
  • Author
  • Genre
  • An illustration
  • Your name

There will be a prize for the best review.  It will be judged on presentation, spelling and effort.  All the entries will be displayed in the FLC.
